So today was my first exam (English Lit/Lang) and it was one of those occasions where I thought the exam went well until I spoke to everyone else and heard what they wrote. It was then a case of I realised I actually didn't do very well as I thought as they wrote better things then I did. It's always the way isn't it?
This is what I wore today. My sixth-form's dress code is business dress but as it is summer and officially study-leave, I find the school is more lenient on uniform. I thought this look would be good to wear for an exam as it is quite hot today and this outfit is quite floaty and sleeveless so I would be able to keep cool. My whole outfit is from New Look and my bag is from Peacocks.
After my exam, I went to one of my best friends, Daisy's house as she lives 5 minutes away from school and said I could come round for a cuppa. She ended up lending me this book:
It is called 'The Fault In Our Stars' by John Green. I have heard great reviews about this book so I am really excited to read it and will probably post a review on here once I have done! Daisy also said this book 'ruined her life' and will probably ruin mine. I don't think she means this literally (I hope she doesn't!) but just that this book changed her outlook on life and might change mine. So I have very high expectations! I have also read another book by John Green called 'Looking For Alaska' which I really enjoyed so I know that even if this book doesn't change my outlook on life, I will most likely enjoy it anyway!
