Hidden Talent

We all have that random talent that not many people know about. For some it may be opening a bottle with their teeth (Don't try this at home!!!) Or singing the alphabet in Chinese or something else.
But my talent is that I can do costume make-up really well! I haven't had any make-up training (unless you count watching tutorials on YouTube or memorising the beauty pages in magazines!) but for some reason I have developed this ability to do costume make-up! I think it all began through dancing from a young age and learning to do show make-up for exams and performances.
And then I decided to do my own make-up for prom a few years ago so I learnt different tips and became really interested in make-up through that. And then for Halloween last year my friend Daisy decided to go as the Black Swan from that 2010 movie with Natalie Portman in and she asked me to do her make-up for her. So I started looking at pictures and tutorials and when it came to the big day, the make-up was very successful! I also did my own make-up which was a zombie- Snow White and I had a lot of fun with fake blood! (Although I learnt the next morning that it is a pain to get off!) I also did my friend Abi's make-up. She went as Sally from 'The Nightmare before Christmas'.
So that was the first time where I realised I was actually really good at this. Since then I have become more confident in experimenting with my own make-up as well as continuing with costume make-up by designing the make-up for an exam performance in drama where we wanted to look like creepy dolls!

 

So in conclusion, I don't know whether make-up is something I will end up doing as a career, but if it was then I would be very happy!
